Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree! Yay it's Christmas time. This week I am trying to get my baking done. This cookie recipe has been made since I was wee little, my Mom has always made these. They are different from your typical sugar cookie, but oh so good!
Vanilla Butter Cookies
1 Cup Margarine softened
2/3 Cup Sugar
1 Tablespoon Vanilla
1 Egg
2 1/2 Cups Flour
Mix the above then refrigerate for 2 hrs. Then on lightly floured board roll dough 1/4 inch thick. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Bake 325 degrees, 12-15 minutes. After cooled frost with frosting.
Vanilla Confectioners Sugar Frosting
2 Cups Confectioners Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla extract
2 1/2 Tbsp Water
Cream then frost.
Enjoy!
